Local Sights

Now one of the world’s most recognisable buildings, The Shard is a short walk from South Point Suites, the jagged tip of the building always visible, glinting high above Bermondsey Street. The views 40 miles across London are spectacular and the bars and restaurants in this ‘vertical city’ are waiting to wow you.

The historic landmarks of London Bridge, The Tower of London and Tower Bridge are all nearby. Sightseeing on foot is fun – but take a river tour from Tower Millenium Pier to see the city and its historical sights from a unique perspective.

Historical Bermondsey on your Doorstep

Closer to home, the 700 year old Church of St Mary Magdalen sits directly opposite South Point Suites and reminders of Bermondsey’s past as a major industrial hub and manufacturing centre can be found at every turn. 18th century warehouses and factories are now residential dwellings but buildings like The Guinness Trust and the Morocco building are probably among some of the most photographed corners of Bermondsey!

Oh – and should you decide to venture further afield, London Bridge Tube links you to the Northern Line and Jubilee line and to endless London adventures.
